A Geothermal Plant from a Time-Scale Perspective

چکیده

In recent years, geothermal energy use from low-temperature sandstone reservoirs has sharply increased. Nonetheless, the injection of heat-depleted fluids not been an easy task because well/formation damage and operational/economic issues. Sønderborg plant is a case example heat-mining reservoir. It in northeast towards Augustenborg Fjord. The present work takes into consideration regional local geology area, construction wells, field experience water chemistry. main issues appear to be related wells reinjection brine. Our chemistry analysis PHREEQC simulations indicate that brine was saturated with respect carbonate barite minerals. excess Ca2+ SO42− ions could have led formation precipitation sulfate scales. Moreover, increment iron concentration over time suggest ingress oxygen pitting corrosion due presence halide ions.

Geothermal energy utilization trends from a technological paradigm perspective

The use of geothermal energy and its associated technologies has been increasing worldwide. However, there has been little paradigmatic research conducted in this area. This paper proposes a systematic methodology to research the development trends for the sustainable development of geothermal energy. A novel data analysis system was created to research the geothermal energy utilization trends,...

Establishing a time-scale for plant evolution.

• Plants have utterly transformed the planet, but testing hypotheses of causality requires a reliable time-scale for plant evolution. While clock methods have been extensively developed, less attention has been paid to the correct interpretation and appropriate implementation of fossil data. • We constructed 17 calibrations, consisting of minimum constraints and soft maximum constraints, for di...

Birkhoff's Theorem from a geometric perspective: A simple example

‎From Hilbert's theorem of zeroes‎, ‎and from Noether's ideal theory‎, ‎Birkhoff derived certain algebraic concepts (as explained by Tholen) that have a dual significance in general toposes‎, ‎similar to their role in the original examples of algebraic geometry‎. ‎I will describe a simple example that illustrates some of the aspects of this relationship‎. The dualization from algebra to geometr...

Mesoscale convection from a large-scale perspective

This essay concerns precipitating convective cloud systems and convectively-driven mesoscale circulations (“mesoscale convection”) and their role in the large-scale structure of the atmosphere. Mesoscale convection is an important and ubiquitous process on scales of motion spanning a few kilometers to many hundreds of kilometers. It plays a role in the input of energy to the climate system thro...
